2nd Answer:

You didn't mention where the cramp is located. Some people get cramps (the muscle tightens as much as possible, and becomes a hard knot of spasming tissue) in their calves, bottoms of their feet, and so forth. It can be extremely painful ! The quickest way to relieve the cramp is to stretch the muscle hard. For example, with a calf cramp, you can use force to pull your toes and foot up toward your knee.

You can prevent, or at least reduce the severity and frequency of cramps by starting a good daily stretching routine, and by drinking plenty of water. Cramps are sometimes caused by their not being enough water in the muscles/nerves.
