I have had great luck with the skin vacuuming machines. I was first introduced to them 20 years ago at the estheticians, but have since found some that work great in the retail market. IGIA makes one (battery operated), and Panasonic makes another (more expensive, but is cordless with a charger). I use them two or three times a week, following manufacturers directions, when my skin is particularly bad, then about once a week for maintenance.
You will be amazed at the improvement just after the first use.
I also use Stridex Maximum (and am 36 yrs old..go figure!), and Proactiv cleansing products. This combination of things has just about eliminated the terrible blackheads and whiteheads that I have experienced as an adult.

Don't harm your skin by squeezing blackheads with hands force. Instead use blackheads extractor, which is used by professional dermatologists too. It a secure way to deal with comedones, decreasing the risks of scarring to minimum. Even though it is easy to use, some notices, such as soften your skin, disinfect, how to apply pressure, should be made (added full instructions to the links below) Good luck!

If you have chronic blackheads, you need to get yourself on a Skin Care regimen. You need a professional or clinical grade product (I recommend Dermalogica). Make sure you are cleansing, toning, and moisturizing your skin twice a day (once before bed and once in the morning) and exfoliating and least once a week. Also, a clay based mask will draw the dirt and oil out of your pores. For a one time extraction, wet a washcloth with Very hot water and ring it out. Lay the washcloth on your face until it is cold, then GENTLY place the pads of each pointer finger on either side of the blackhead, and squeeze lightly while rolling the fingers back and forth. The blackhead should come out. If this does not work, try the washcloth again to soften the dirt particles and open the pore. NEVER EVER squeeze a blackhead with your fingernails! This will break the delicate walls between your pores, and the next time the pore clogs the blackhead or pimple will be twice the size!
