like all older dis. take it out. march were the roter is pointing at and take it out. now see if the gears are still on the dis. and not mest up. spin the dis. shaft and see if the point/s are good. replace. witht eh cap off the dis. crank it over and see if the roater is terning. if all is ok then it is fine for more info e-mail davethebenzman@Yahoo.com
