Yes.

"As Influenza A (H1N1) virus spreads in South-East Asia, WHO is working to strengthen Member State capacity to combat the virus.

A strategy for strengthening national capacity to respond to the challenge was formulated at a high level consultation in Bangkok. Member States came together to address issues pertaining to surveillance, laboratory support, communication, rapid deployment of critical resources, rational use of antivirals, vaccines and non-pharmaceutical interventions to fight the pandemic.

There is a growing capacity for production of antivirals and vaccines in the South-East Asia Region. Bangladesh, India, Indonesia and Thailand have the capacity to produce Oseltamivir while three of these have also the capacity to produce the vaccine."

Case Counts for SE Asia WHO Region as of 7/23/09:

As of 23 July 2009: A total of 7,559 laboratory-confirmed cases of pandemic (H1N1) 2009 have been reported from eight SEAR countries. Forty four deaths from the virus have been reported from Thailand. No other deaths have been reported in the Region. The countries in the South-East Asia Region with confirmed cases are as follows: 24 in Bangladesh 2 in Bhutan 371 in India 322 in Indonesia 4 in Myanmar 16 in Nepal 44 in Sri Lanka 6,776 in Thailand Cases officially reported to WHO worldwide: As of 6 July, a total of 94,512 laboratory-confirmed cases of pandemic (H1N1) 2009 and 429 deaths have been reported to WHO from 135 countries and dependencies/territories in accordance with International Health Regulations (2005).
