Effective immunizations also exist for chicken pox, rabies, typhoid, yellow fever, influenza, hepatitis A, meningococcal meningitis, Japanese B encephalitis and pneumococcal pneumonia. Less effective immunizations are available for cholera, plague, and tuberculosis. For some diseases, the body needs a periodic reminder so that it doesn't forget how to make the right antibody. Adults need a tetanus and a diphtheria "booster" every ten years throughout their life.
