Rodents are the vector of lassa fever virus, when rodents come in contact with your food (especially stored food stuffs), as they feed, they pass urine and faeces into the food, the virus is passed out along with the urine, when you consume such food, you can get infected with lassa fever after 2-4 weeks. Always make sure your food is properly closed and try to keep your house clean to avoid rodents.
it is a disease transfered from animals to humans n started in Nigeria in 1969 and soon in North Africa
