Please go see your veterinarian for a proper diagnosis and to determine what--let alone IF--antibiotics need to be administered to a sick calf. Chances are the calf does not need antibiotics at all, just electrolytes if it's scouring, a deworming product if it has worms, or an injection of a certain mineral if the calf is deficient in certain minerals.
it will be blind
Please check with your local large animal veterinarian for details on what's best to give the calf. You didn't give enough symptoms or details of the calf's condition to get any relevant answers, since there are over a 100 things than can make a calf suddenly stop eating and make it sick.
Lack of potassium.
The two differential diagnoses that come to mind are calf diptheria or chronic pneumonia. However, your veterinarian will have to take a look at the calf to see what may be going on.
It's obviously sick with some stomach bug that needs a vet's attention.
its a growing pain pr you don't stretch it enough!
Left leg use.... I think.
Possible causes of calf pain after swimming include muscle fatigue or strain from repetitive kicking, cramps due to dehydration or electrolyte imbalances, or overuse injuries from improper technique or excessive training.
Who told you that a calf doesn't need it's mother? Every calf needs a cow to properly take care of it, no matter if it's their own or a surrogate cow-mom. Ideally you should have a cow already there to adopt that calf. But, if that's not obtainable, you need shelter, milk replacer, feed, water, and a good understanding of how to raise a bum/orphan calf so that it doesn't get sick and die on you.
