Mine was covered by my mothers health insurance. I had the operation in Delta, BC Canada by a woman named Dr. Sproule. The pain was horrible at first but I was back to myself in about 2 weeks. Once you get past the first 2-3 days it's OK. I basically went to my family doctor, got a referral, saw Dr. Sproule, and that was that. I lied and sais I had major Back pain, turns out a couple months before the surgery I started to actually have back pain. I was 17 at the time and am now 25. It was the best thing I have ever done. And besides the medium scarring they look fantastic. I was a DDD and now I'm a small D Cup due to being slightly overweight (145 lbs). Right after the surgery I was a C and they didn't move. It was like having implants. They were perfect. I didn't have feeling in the nipples for the first 6 months but it's all back to normal. I was told that I can also breast feed. There have been alot of advances to the operation since and now I think the procedure has minimal scarring and would be much less invasive. I also read somewhere to operation is about $5,500.

There is no straightforward answer to this question, but removal of breast implants can be much more complicated and expensive than the original surgery, especially if one of the implants has broken. Some surgeons are very experienced at removal and are skilled at getting the best possible cosmetic result, so it may be worthwhile looking for a good removal surgeon rather than going for the cheapest you can find.

Be wary of getting saline breast implants. The doctors don't tell you, but rupture is common. I have had mine "Pop" three times. The leak is usually slow. If you believe one or both of your breast implants are shrinking there is probably a rupture. I suggest going to the cosmetic surgeon who did the initial implants ( if you liked the result prior to the rupture). Remember to listen to your body. We know our bodies better than any doctor. So if your doctor disagrees about there being a rupture, get a second opinion.
