Actually, you SHOULD probably go see YOUR eye doctor, but I am an eye doctor and, all I have to prescibe are eye drops. These eye drops are over the counter medications. You can get them at, Wal-Mart, Kroger, C.V.S, Wallgreens, and Dollartree/ Dollar General/ Family Dollar. And more than likely, your eye is going to swell up, you can relieve the swelling if you take some Ibprofin.

If you were truly an eye doctor, you would know that there is more you can do than just prescribe eye drops. I'm not sure which drops you are referring to, but there are many drops you can only get by prescription that are not available over the counter. The original question only asks, "what do you do when you cut your eye?" So I'm not quite sure why your eye would swell up if you are taking OTC meds, and ibuprofen (check your spelling on Ibprofin?) will not reduce ocular swelling. If you are an eye doc, you'd know that a topical steroid would be your best bet to reduce swelling. (This info comes from a real eye doctor, not a self-proclaimed eye doc like Dr. Tess, or was that Dr. Nick from The Simpsons?)
