Anorexics starve themselves to lose weight. They think that they weight too much (usually when they do not) so they don't eat so that they can lose weight to become thinner. Many believe that being thinner will make them "prettier" or "more attactive" to both other people and to society.
Being anorexic myself, i can answer this question. All anorexics treat themselves differently they punish themselves and starve there self. Some anerexic people may harm themselves.
What a scary question. You didn't ask "do they" - which is just as scary as your misunderstanding of anorexia. Anorexics are merely people who starve themselves because they constantly believe they are imperfect or fat - normally due to low self esteem. Anorexics can eat ice cream. They can eat steak. Anorexics can eat whatever they want, the problem is the fact that they don't. Do not emulate an anorexic. Do not starve yourself to become skinnier - it will kill you.
Anorexia is a disorder in which people view themselves as being fat and overweight. Since anorexics starve themselves or drastically reduce the amount of food eaten, most of the time they will not take any grams of fat in their diet in a day.
Yes it can if the person with Anorexia doesn't get some counseling. Anorexics starve themselves because they envision themselves as fat. When you starve yourself the brain lacks the protein it needs, other organs start to break down and the body basically begins to feed off itself. Anorexics will also stop having periods and you need periods to have children.
Anorexia is a dangerous mental disorder than manifests itself in the human body. Anorexics typically do not eat / starve themselves in order to lose weight, and have a fear of gaining weight or being "fat", often when they are very, very thin.
yes, actually they always think about food it's constanly on their mind since they starve themselves. they actually become fascinated with food. they like to see others consume it. so they do think of food but try no to because of the fear of becoming fat.
Anorexics are usually very self-conscious. They have a low body-image. This can lead them to think that they have flaws that need to be "fixed" through extreme dieting, or that they can become "more beautiful" is they starve themselves to lose weight. Many feel that they are too heavy, or that they are fat, even when they are not. If they are working to keep their anorexia a secret, some might feel alone because they are afraid to confine in others, for fear that they might let something slip.
Refrigerators stuff themselves while blondes starve themselves!!
people suffering from what will atrave themselves and what excessively to stay thin
Anorexics starve their bodies. They either do not eat, or they limit what they eat. This is not nutritious or healthy. Anorexics often will exercise a lot, to burn off more calories. All of this pretty much starves the body, and can damage (possibly even permanently) organs, cause skin problems, hair problems, weakness, fainting, dizziness, little to no fat left on the body, muscle degeneration, mental problems (depression, suicidal thoughts, BDD (Body Dismorphic Disorder), blood-pressure problems, and can even be fatal in 20% of anorexics.
It is not OK for anyone to starve them selves because this activity leads to damage to the body.
