In aged care, medications can be identified as contaminated through several signs, including unusual discoloration, changes in texture, or an off odor. Additionally, if there are reports of adverse reactions or unexpected side effects in residents after medication administration, this may indicate contamination. Regular audits and adherence to proper storage and handling protocols also help in detecting potential contamination issues. Regular training for staff on medication safety can further minimize risks.

There are senior care homes in all countries, but unfortunately I do not know where your grandmother lives, so it is difficult for me to provide you with the name of a good care home for her. I would advise either looking up aged homes in your local phonebook, or perhaps doing some online research for aged homes in the area you live. Sorry I could not be of more help.

It would be nice if the local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses were contacted so that they know that an aged member is in a home. This would allow some friendly visits to keep the aged one upbuilt and encouraged. Also, sometimes it is nice for them to have a landline telephone with a speaker so that they could "tie in" to public talks at the Kingdom Hall if they are not mobile enough to be able to attend the meetings.
