Is Fexophenadine good for all sorts of itchy insect bites?

* Although this may sound a bit hard to believe, regular antiperspirant is better. Just try it, but be sure you use antiperspirant and not deodorant. I don't know how the antiperspirant works to stop the itching, but believe you me, I just know that it does work.

I don't even remember where I learned about this, but trust me on this... lots of mosquitos around here.... * Fexofenadineis a relatively new 2nd- or 3rd-generation antihistamine -- one that tends not to make you drowsy. As the itchiness caused by many (but not all) insect bites involves a histaminic reaction, Fexofenadine should be quite effective in those cases. I doubt it'll do much against chiggers (where the itching is not histaminic -- it's simple, cellular irritation), or bee stings (where the venom is not all histaminic, and is high dose and concentration), or scabies (where the itch is caused by mechanical action). But it should work well against most others, as well as hay fever and Allergies.
