Very negative and intense hallucinations, seizures, loss of consciousness, inability to speak clearly, severe loss of coordination, total loss of control of bowel movements and your bladder (that's a nasty one), loss of inhibition, and cardiac arrest and/or asphyxiation from the depressive qualities of Ambien. If you are lucky enough to live through an Ambien overdose, you will not remember any of it but you will sure as hell feel it for at least a few days. Do not ever combine Ambien with alcohol or any other "downers." Ambien is so much stronger than most people think.

I am wondering the overdose threshold of Ambien--is it two pills or is it more like twenty pills?

in order to die from it, you have to have blood toxicity, which is a LOT of pills. there are no recorded cases of ambien overdose as a cause of death. bear in mind- "everything in moderation" though.

What would happen if you took 300 mgs of ambien?

Taking 300 mg of Ambien (zolpidem) is extremely dangerous and far above the recommended dosage. Such an overdose could result in severe sedation, respiratory depression, loss of consciousness, and potentially life-threatening complications. It may also lead to confusion, hallucinations, or other neurological effects. Immediate medical attention would be necessary in the event of an overdose.

How much ambien would cause a serious overdose?

Z-type drugs like Ambien, Sonata & Lunesta and benzodiazepines like valium and Xanax are generally far safer in overdose (by themselves) compared to older sedatives like Seconal, chloral hydrate. When people die of an overdose of Ambien there are usually other drugs present. Case reports of Alcohol, Soma, valium as combinations. People have gone into a coma with as few as 20 10mg pills & died with 90-300 Ambien overdoses can be easily reversed with IV flumazenil.

What happens when you mix Ambien with smoking weed and tobacco?

Nothing bad. I do not know of a single drug/medication that is dangerous to take with marijuana. Since marijuana is neither a stimulant nor a depressant, but a mild hallucinogen, it does not affect the heart and central nervous system the way most other drugs do. It does have some depressive effects (meaning, it can make you feel slow and sleepy), but these are not dramatic enough to be dangerous in combination with Ambien. Tobacco is a stimulant, but for a regular smoker, the effects are negligible. Even if you are not a regular smoker, the effects of tobacco on the body are not dramatic enough to interact badly with the Ambien. So, the weed will likely increase the effects of the Ambien, but only slightly. You definitely will not "overdose" and kill yourself. If you are a regular smoker, the effects of the tobacco will be negligible. If you are not a regular smoker, the tobacco will speed up your heart rate a bit, and slightly counteract the effects of the Ambien and weed. But again, these effects will not be dramatic enough to cause harm.

How much of ambien and lexapro do i need to take that would be considered to be a overdose?

Overdose amounts can vary based on individual factors such as weight, tolerance, and overall health, but taking significantly more than the prescribed doses of Ambien (zolpidem) or Lexapro (escitalopram) can lead to serious health risks. Generally, exceeding 10 mg of Ambien or 20 mg of Lexapro may increase the risk of adverse effects, but even lower doses can be dangerous when combined with other substances. It's crucial to use these medications only as directed by a healthcare professional and to seek immediate help if you suspect an overdose. If you have concerns about your medication, consult with a doctor.
