If you miss two pills during the first two weeks of your cycle, take two pills a day for the next two days. Then continue to take it regularly until you have finished your pack. Use a second method of Birth Control for the remainder of the month, for you could still become pregnant if you are sexually active.

If you miss two pills during the third week of your cycle, take one birth control pill daily until you finish the first 21 pills in your pack. Throw out any remaining pills. Once again use a back up plan...condoms ect. If you miss three or more pills at anytime during the first week, take one pill daily until you are finished the first 21 pills. Throw out the remaining, start your new pack when you are supposed to and use a back up method of birth control.

This is for the combination birth control pill- those that contain both estrogen and progestin hormones. The best advice I can give you is to see your doctor about your situation, and also be sure to use a back up if you plan to have sex. Stacey

I would request another form of birth control if you have trouble remembering to take pills; like injections. The best way to remember is putting them right by your sink next to your toothbrush so you see them first thing in the morning and remember to take them.

Use the patch instead.

of course you can!! what kinda question is that? seriously don't you read the disclaimer. if you miss five days of pills you're supposed to wait until your next period and than start a new pack.

Don't have sex.

You should consult the information that came with your pills. It will explain what to do if you have missed one or more pills, accurately for your brand of pills.

See the package insert for instructions, or call your doctor or pharmacist. It depends on what week you are in, etc.

You become two
I'm no doctor but I will take an educated guess. I've been on "the pill" and accidentally forgot but they tell you not to double dose if you miss one day.

If you accidentally forgot and don't want to get pg, I opted for the Implanon. I now have Essure cause I'm older.

Also, even taking antibiotics can make your pill less effective which can increase the chances of you getting pg.

I'd suggest always using a condom anyway because STDs are crazy now!!

Hope I helped!
Yes. Just take them when you next remember, but you won't be covered for the next two days so use other forms of contraception as well.

I think it depends on the pill but Cerazette is fine.
yes, birth control pills are a 24 hour contraceptive, thus you have to take them everyday. a more long term alternative is the depo-provera injection which lasts three months. your doctor gives you a shot in the hip four times a year, which is much easier to keep track of.
yes you can you must take it the very next day at the normal time you take it and be very cautious having sex for a while like maybe a week or so because you can get pregnant if you miss just one day
Yes, if you don't take the birth control pill daily, you can get pregnant.

You need to decide if BCP are an effective form of BC for you.

If you miss multiple pills in a cycle sooner or later you will get pregnant, if you are sexually active and not using a back up (like condoms).

What happens next depends on what you want to do for BC, if you plan on staying on the pill after you missed 3 or more active pills in a row, or if you started your new pill pack 3 days late or missed 3 pills in the last week of a packet:

If you have had unprotected sex and the 3 (or more) missed pills were from the first week of a new packet - you may want to use Emergency Contraception like Plan B. Then start your new pack the following day.

Mid cycle, take the pill as soon as soon as you remember, over the next 3 days take the forgotten pill with the pill for that day. If your missed pills were in the last week of the packet, finish the active pills - toss out the week of inactive (sugar) pills and start your next new pack.

Whatever you decide to do - you need to use back up until you have used 7 pills in 7 days.

Keep taking the birth control pill as scheduled. Take a pregnancy test. If you miss your next period, call your health care provider for advice.

Will you bleed if you miss the pill for 3 days?

You indeed can become pregnant if you missed 3 pills and are bleeding. The reason you would be bleeding or maybe spotting is because you're not taking the pills. If you've missed 3 pills in one pack, you should throw that pack away and start a new pack and definitely use backup protection!

A backup method of birth control is suggested during the first month on the pill. The pill is 99.7%-99.9% effective if used perfectly! Effectiveness in the general population is only 97% due to missed pills etc. This means that 3 women in 100 wil get pregnant on the pill.
