No. In hindsight, Germany lost the war. If the little cliques that ruled Imperial Germany had had even 1 Pennie worth of realism and common sense they would have slammed the breaks on Austria-Hungary in June-July 1914. Instead, the German General Staff wanted a jolly little war. What they got was an unwinnable war that was ruinous for Germany and Europe. To cap it all, when Germany was defeated they made parliamentarians carry the can for the consequences!
