Christopher Columbus received a small amount of education when he went to a Monastery until age fourteen. He learned the basics, Latin and Mathematics. During his early sea life, before his voyages to 'India,' he learned Astrology and geography. He was a teen during these years. He also learned map making from his younger brother, Bartolomeo, when he went to visit him in Lisbon. Most of his education came to him in his teen years on the sea.
