He was not so much concerned with the Jewish problem, but rather wanted to militarize Italy and restore its strength to that seen during the Roman Empire. He was eventually ousted from power and killed by his own countrymen. Italian military forces surrendered to the Allies in September of 1943.

Stalin was the leader of the communist Soviet Union. Originally in 1939, he and Hitler had signed a "non-aggression pact," that was later broken by Nazi Germany's invasion of the USSR in June of 1941. He was known for being an extremely tough and cruel leader, and many argue that more Soviets and ethnic minorities were killed by Stalin, than those killed by Hitler. He soon found himself amidst an intense rivalry with Hitler, and both men wanted to see their enemies soundly and severly defeated. He was succeeded by Nikita Krushchev.
