What do you mean, do you mean Brady Camp. Assault weapons like AR-15s, semi AKs, TEC9s, semi FN FALs, or the REAL Assault weapons like full auto AK47s, M16s, M4s, full auto Uzis, full auto TEC9s, like that?
Well, I think that the second amendment does grant that right, I believe its just fear that keeps them out of the hands of law abiding citizens.
But the 1994 Assault weapons ban was the most shameless gun control lie ever enacted, it was based on appearance. If they think that .223 is powerful, then surely .30-06 will be banned. Look at the efforts of the UN, watch the UN gun debate with Wayne Lapeire, and some Australian, they would ban any rifle that shoots over 200 yards, that's almost every single hunting rifle.
This amendment gives people the right to keep and bear arms (weapons, guns specifically.)
The Second Amendment.
The Second Amendment states the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
1st Amendment
That's half of the 2nd Amendment.
2nd.
This amendment gives people the right to keep and bear arms (weapons, guns specifically.)
It has to do with the 2nd Amendment "The right to bear arms". Guns don't kill people, people kill people _________________________________ The ban on so-called "assault weapons" was allowed to expire and was not renewed because only a tiny fraction of "assault weapons" were ever used in the commission of a crime. The definition of "assault weapon" was fuzzy and unclear; two rifles could have very minor cosmetic differences, and yet one might qualify as an "assault weapon" while the other rifle might not. There was no functional difference; both semi-automatic rifles, firing the same caliber bullet, but one with a black plastic stock and one with a wooden stock, or the presence or absence of a barrel shroud, would be regulated differently.
To do so is part of the US constitution, by amendment to the said constitution. The owning of guns is also ingrained in US culture. This said, this culture and the amendment were established before the development of the modern military assault rifle and one must wonder if the founding father may have limited the right to purchase and carry these weapons freely had they foreseen what was to come. One must also remember that there is a huge industry making money out of selling these weapons to US citizens and these industries are spending vast amounts of money ensuring that paid politicians obfuscate any real debate or change.
The right to keep and bear weapons.
The right to keep and bear arms is protected by the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution. Ratified in 1791, it states, "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." This amendment is often the focal point of debates regarding gun control and individual rights in the U.S.
The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution protects the right of individuals to keep and bear arms. While it does not specify which weapons are allowed, the interpretation generally supports the ownership of firearms for self-defense and other lawful purposes. Legal debates continue regarding the regulation of certain types of weapons, such as automatic firearms, assault weapons, and high-capacity magazines, with various laws varying by state. Ultimately, the specifics of what weapons are permissible can depend on both federal and state regulations.
The second amendment gives the right of militia and to bear arms. The thing you have to remember that when it was written there were flintlock guns that only could shoot one shot and the amendment was meant for protection by the militia not for people to own military type weapons that we have today.
Because that right is enshrined in the US constitution. The Second Amendment (Amendment II) to the United States Constitution protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms. Therefore changing this significantly may require a change to the US constitution.
Bear arms. (have weapons)
A right to keep bare arms----------------------------------Had to keep to first answer in for comedy effect. The Second Amendment has nothing to do with the right to keep your arms bare but the right to keep and bear (carry) arms (weapons). The Second Amendment reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
