Poland did not receive any German land after the Second World War had ended. It was divided four ways.
-The Soviets got a piece.
-The Americans got a piece.
-The French got a piece.
-The British got a piece.
The French were a minority, however. They received the smallest portion of German land.
Poland suffered terribly from the German invasion in World War 2, and this is the first time I've ever heard anyone suggest that Poland might have benefitted from the German invasion.Afternote:Under a pre-war deal between Germany and Russia, Russia scored the eastern half of Poland, moving in after the Germans had defeated the Polish army. The Polish officer corps was captured by the Russians and massacred at Katyn Forest, making it easier to dominate Poland when Russia occupied it at the close of World War 2.
no but he did attack the USSR (Soviet Union)
the german invasion of Poland
Absolutely not. World War 2 started on 1st September 1939 when German troops invaded Poland.
Because the victorious Allies of World War 2 wanted it that way that Prussia is part of Poland, Russia, and Lithuania.

United States, Britian, Russia, Italy, Germany, Poland, Austria, Japan are a few
It entirely depends on the time. At the beginning of the war, Russia and Germany signed an agreement to split Poland and then they attacked from both sides. However, Hitler wasn't happy with only half of Poland and attacked Russia. They had to stop however at the battle of Stalingrad because it was winter and the Germans had almost no supplies and their gas was freezing in their tanks. Then Russia absolutely annihilated the invading German army and helped with the liberation of German occupied territory.

It was almost a daily occurrence on the Russian side (as part of a pact between Germany and Poland, Germany claimed half of Poland, and Soviet Russia, the other). It was used on the German side as well, but to a lesser extent.
poland, france, united states
Since Russia is the other side of Poland to Germany, and Poland was under German rule, Russia could just attack across the border. They didn't use landing craft in the war. look at this link: http://www.ratson.com
After World War I, the Treaty of Versailles forced Germany to relinquish a lot of territory, both colonies across the globe and in Europe. A large portion of German land was given to the newly formed Poland, which had been destroyed by Russia, Austria and Germany in the late 1700s. Hitler's beef with Poland was that he wanted to get that land back. There were a lot of German people living there, and he told stories about how the Polish government wasn't treating them well, and that they really wanted to live in Germany again. Germany invaded Poland in September 1939 after German agents dressed as Polish soldiers attacked a German radio station near the border with Poland. The underlying problem was that Hitler actually just wanted to conquer eastern Europe. He wanted to build a "Greater Germanic Empire" in Poland and Russia, and conquering Poland was the first step on that path. He would later foolishly invade Russia to continue this quest.
