Have Brazil won any wars

Brazil had lots of internal civil wars and revolts in the 19th century. The longest and bloodiest was the Revolução Farroupilha, which lasted 10 years, in which the southermost Brazilian state tried to separate and become a republic (Brazil was an independent Empire with an European royal house from 1822 to 1889)

From 1825 to 1828, Brazil fought the Cisplatine War, which resulted in Uruguay becoming independent (the territory had been annexed, from Spain, while Brazil and Uruguay still belonged to Portugal and Spain respectively).

From 1864 to 1870, Brazil fought the Paraguay War (Triple Alliance War) in which Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina fought together Paraguay and its crazy dictator.

In World War 1, Brazil participation was only about letting mainly the french army to use Brazilian ports and bases, after Germany sunk a few Brazilian merchant ships.

Brazil participated in World War 2, sending 25 thousand troops to fight against the axis in Italy. The US also mounted a base on northeast Brazil. Brazil declared war on Germany after the axis sunk a few ships killing some 1000 Brazilian sailors.

Brasil have been involved...

...in the Cistoplatine War, against Argentina for the possesion of this territory. In the end Brasil got a piece of the territory, and most of it formed a country, Uruguai.

The Oribe and Roses War, in which Argentina and Uruguai, together tried to get united and conquest a southern part of Brazil. In the end, Brazil invaded Buenos Aires, looking for Juan Manuel de Rosas, the President of Argentina and responsible for the war. Rosas, runned away to England.

Tthe War Against Aguirre (bweteen Brazil and Uruguai)

the Paraguaian War, a war against Paraguai. Brazil, Argentina and Uruguai made an aliance, called the Triplice Aliance. The Paraguaian economy was growing and the paraguaian president started to believe they could expland their influences. So they stole a Brazilian boat with important people that time, sent them to prison, and they died because of hungry. After that Paraguai declared war against Argentina, because Argentina didn't want to get involved in this confict and also didn't want to let the Paraguaian army cross their territory to invade the Uruguai. That's why the Aliance was made. In the end Paraguai had been devasted by the invasion of the triplice aliance. Many people died, and their growing economy was totally destroyed.

The Independence War, against Portugal, fighting for the independence of the country, for the formation of Brazil.

And the famous World War 2, in which Brazil sent planes and the army to fight in the Monte Castelo battle, in Italy, an important an strategic point, located up on the Monte Castelo Mountain. Brazil with the help of some American army won this battle. Some time after that (by time I mean days, weeks), Germany was invaded and the war was over.

Brazil, in it's whole history, won most of the wars in which he was involved.

Only one war resulted in something different, the Cisplatinian War:

It happened in the Cisplatinian region, between the borders of Brazil and Argentina. These two countries were fighting for the control and possession of the region.

After years of war, and many resources spent by the two countries, none of them got the territory. The population of the region declared themselves independent, and that's how the Uruguaian Republic was formed.

There were a couple of famous wars that involved Brazil. One of them was the Brazilian War of Independence and another was the Cabanagem Revolt.
