The greatest advantage that the Americans had was their massive production of war materials, the manpower they could put into their armed forces, and the supplies they were able send to Britain that helped Britain, her Allies, and America to defeat Germany, Italy and Japan.

America's huge Natural Resources and industrial capabilities all but guaranteed a victory. Japan had no intention of defeating America, merely wanted them to sue for peace after the devastating blow at Pearl Harbor. All the Axis forces could hope for was to inflict enough casulties that America would grow weary of the war and sign a peace treaty. America's victory in the Pacific was guaranteed with the victory at Midway. America's victory in Europe was a foregone conclusion with Germany bogged down with the Eastern front.
