No one died in the Toledo War.

The only blood that was shed happened when Two Stickney (the son of Major Benjamin Stickney) stabbed Michigan Deputy Sheriff Joseph Wood (was a non-life threatening injury) with a pen knife. Michigan Deputy Sheriff Joseph Wood went to Toledo to arrest Major Benjamin Stickney for violating the Pains and Penalties Act

Pains and Penalties Act was a Michigan act stating that that if Ohio would control the Toledo Strip that it would be a criminal act. Any violators would be fined $1,000 and/or up to five years imprisonment at hard labor
