I myself do not wear green nor orange on Saint Patrick's Day because either colour worn on that day would show an allegiance to one side or the other of this stupid rivalry between the Catholics and the Protestants. These two camps have been murdering each other (and innocent bystanders) for hundreds of years. It is totally sick. If you think I am wrong, try wearing the wrong colour at one side or another's parade or football game in Britain.
Wearing green or orange on that day would be like being in Africa and wearing something that identified oneself with either the Hutu or Tutsi tribes in Africa which have been hacking each other to death on and off for decades. You could wear their colours, but when you know what has been associated with the whole thing, why would you want to?
Yes
its St. Paticks day because Patrick is a saint. this as simple as that. we wear Green because Patricks favourtie colour was Green and yes i cant spell, but i don't care.... :):):):) ttly from your fav. bored students
they wear green for st patricks day
As I understand it Orange was the color that was used to represent Sir William of orange an Irish Catholic hating protestant. I have never seen or heard of anyone wearing orange on St. Patrick's Day.
I think you mean green, red has no obvious connection to St. Patricks day. you are kissed when you wear green because everyone is Irish, and who doesn't love to be Irish for a day?
Yes
No, But if you wear a pin that says "Kiss Me, I'm Irish" then yes. And if you don't wear green on St.Patrick's day...You will be shot by a pack of wolves trained to handle guns
The Irish flag or tri-colour consists of green, white and orange. Whilst most people wear green, it is just as acceptable to wear white or orange.

All green. That's about it. Green top, green trousers, or to look like those littleLeprechaun people, wear a tighter green top, a green knee length skirt with a gold belt tied around it, and green tights.
