The Industrial Revolution significantly transformed working conditions, moving many laborers from agrarian settings to factories where they faced long hours, low wages, and unsafe environments. Workers often endured harsh conditions, including poor ventilation, inadequate lighting, and dangerous machinery, leading to frequent accidents and health issues. Additionally, child labor became prevalent, with children working in factories and mines under similarly dire circumstances. Over time, these challenges spurred labor movements and reforms aimed at improving safety, wages, and the overall treatment of workers.
Workers fought back against poor working conditions during the Industrial Revolution through various means. They organized labor unions to demand better wages, shorter working hours, and improved working conditions. Workers also participated in strikes and protests, refusing to work until their demands were met. Some workers engaged in sabotage and destroyed machinery as a form of protest. Overall, these collective actions of workers played a significant role in improving working conditions and achieving labor rights.

Working conditions for children during the industrial revolution were appalling. Children had to work 12 hours and 6 days a week without any holidays off. Because of this, the children working in mines sometimes fell asleep and were crushed to death or badly injured by the mine carts. The work conditions were poor and miserable. Some children get beaten, and there's hunger, and no sleep time. They were very poor paid and worked in dangerous and violent surroundings. They had to put extremely long hours. There was no law to protect workers, and even when a few were passed they were rarely followed.
