No, not counting the American Revolution, and the various Indian Wars, the first time America was attacked was in the War of 1812. The British raid on Washington DC and burning of the White House in one example.

Another notable cases include the 1916 raid on Columbus, New Mexico by the army of Mexican General Pancho Villa.

However, since World War I's end there have been only two attacks on American soil, the bombing of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 and the September 11th Attacks on September 11, 2001.
