The Kaiser was a rather able leader in his own way. He further empowered the German Empire, turning it into one of the most powerful and important countries in the world, and his reign was one of economic and military prosperity. In fact, until the end of the war, Wilhelm II was loved by his people, who were proud of their militaristic, powerful and hard working leader. He took the blame for the First World War because he create the Weltpolitik and due to the fact that Germany was the strongest nation of the Triple Alliance, inflicting more defeats on the allies than Austria-Hungary or the Ottoman Empire. The fact remains, nonetheless, that as a leader to the German people, he was very effective, powerful and popular.
