The Sons of Liberty were a group of American colonists who protested the taxes that King George levied on the colonies' goods. Their protests became quite physical, as when they dressed up as Huron Indians, boarded a ship from England, and threw all the boxes of tea into the ocean in Boston.

Their firebrand leader was Samuel Adams, a cousin of John Adams.
