I love mine. It's a little on the heavy side but it's great for the price. Also, the accuracy is amazing for a factory rifle.
The Grand Ole Opry was started by a man named George Hay (1895-1968) who had formerly hosted WLS's National Barn Dance. When he started working at WSM in 1925, the show was known only as "WSM's Barn Dance." After WSM became a NBC affiliate his show followed a series called "Grand Opera." As the show began one day in December of 1927, Hay reportedly said "for the past hour we have been listening to music taken largely from Grand Opera, but from now on we will present 'The Grand Ole Opry.'" The name fit the informal, hometown style of the show and it stuck.and it is in my hometown NASHVILLE TENNESSEE
Definitely the first broadcast of the Grand Old Opry, which occurred in 1925, on Nashville radio station WSM. Radio was still new, and the idea of being able to sit in your home and listen to a live country music concert (with all the famous stars of that era) seemed amazing to most people. World War II began in the mid-1930s, and the first Newport Folk Festival began in 1959.
WSM developed as a tourist centre in Victorian times when the British were suddenly taking an interest in leisure. People had the time and money for short holidays. With the rise of cheap flights and longer holidays people would rather visit more exotic places leaving places like Weston the home to day trippers. Weston Super Mare also suffers from a poor reputation - facilities have become shabby or closed (Tropicana) and it has become the victim of seasonal unemployment and a thriving drugs scene. It doesn't help the the locals call it weston super mud!
