in the beginning the Soviet Union and Hitler had an alliance. on December 17, 1940 Hitler moved his sights toward Russia and away from Britain. Winter set in and the red army was more prepared then Hitler predicted. The red army was superior in every facet:Their planes made of recycled material could sustain major damage and continue on, their ability to suffer the extreme cold was the major upside because hitlers army wasnt prepared for the horrific conditions.
