What did the Russians do to the Jews in World War 2?

A large number of Jews living in Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania and Latvia were slaughtered by the Nazis during the invasion of the Soviet Union.

In the last few years of his didctatorship Stalin became antisemitic, but that was in about 1949-1953, in other words after World War 2.

Yes. Millions.

Many of the ones counted in the tally often denoted as killed by Germany were in fact killed by Russians. Add to this the Jews that were deported to the Gulag who never came back and the total comes up to more than Germany killed in all of WWII.

One must keep in mind that the Russian numbers include the deaths of Jews after WWII who were in concentration camps that continued to run within Russian territory well into the 1950s, so it is hard to say absolutely whether Russia killed more Jews than Germany DURING WWII, it is highly probable.

This is not exactly accurate. Soviet Policy was against Judaism and their traetment of Jews changed for the worse during the war, but they had no plans nor procudure for killing Jews akin to the Nazis.
