I am thinking it is General Robert E. Lee and General George B. McClellan. Not sure, but, heard from my teacher.
George Washington was the General in charge of American troops at both Brandywine and Germantown. William Howe was in charge of British troops at both battles.
The british commander who surrendered to gates at saratoga was Burgoyne. I found this out doing a word search for social studies.
Major General George Meade was named commander of the Army of the Potomac only three days prior to the battle at Gettysburg. Major General Henry Halleck was General-in-Chief of the U.S. Army at that time. And of course, Abraham Lincoln was commander in chief.
General Lee had appointed General William N. Pendleton to be in charge of the Confederate artillery at the Battle of Gettysburg. He was one of many pundits who believed that artillery was best used as a defensive element.
Both Antietam and Gettysburg represent the two most serious efforts by the South to bring the war North. By failing to win a decisive victory, the South's chance at winning independence from the North diminished. Some call Gettysburg, the high water mark of the Confederacy. On the same day Pickett's charge failed, Vicksburg also surrendered, from that point onward it was all downhill for the South.
George Brinton McClellan.

Union General Alfred Pleasonton graduated from West point in 1844. Among his class of 25 graduating cadets, he ranked 7th. Pleasonton was a participant in the Battle of Antietam in 1862. Little did he or any other soldier know that Antietam would be a historic battle. It's almost 25,000 casualties in a single day, has never been surpassed by any battle, anywhere, in future by US combat history. Pleasonton was also in charge of the Union's cavalry Corps at the Battle of Gettysburg.
General Israel Putnam
Stephen Kearny.
Braxton Bragg
George McLellan, but not for long. Even though he won the next battle (Antietam), his failure to pursue the enemy was the last straw for Lincoln, who fired him.
Israel Putnam
Vasily Ivanovich Chuikov

General Douglas Haig
At the battle of Chancellorsville, it was General Robert E. Lee for the Confederacy and Joseph Hooker for the Union.
