'e' is for electronic communication facilitated by internet. 'eRevolution' is indeed sweeping the world, creating a new world order based on interconnectivity, facilitating linkages and partnerships amongst people across the globe.

eRevolution is also a regular mega ICT (information and communication technologies) event held every year in Chandigarh, India, for the past six years, and had been a great contributor to helping the business community to scale up their operations through adoption of ICT in their operations, besides encouraging young entrepreneurs to try their hands on IT product development and services arena.

The governments themselves are the key users of the technology and are digitising their records as well as reaching out to the people even in remote rural areas to deliver services to them through their e-governance initiatives. This is reducing human interaction, long queues, cost of avoidable travelling to reach the government offices, etc, benefiting the citizens more than ever before.

Thanks to technology, 'e' is a major enabler for the growth of any society.
