Amenhotep II: ruledin the 15th centuryBC. He was the son of Hatsepsut (queen) and Tuthmosis III. He fought successfully in Syria and the Middle East.

Amenhotep III: ruled in the 15-14th century BC. His reign was generally peaceful ; he had many grandiuous buldings built in Thebes e.g. The Colossi of Memnon and the Luxor Temple.
