Oklahoma is a state in the United States of America. During WW2, US Navy battleships were named after US states. So there is also a USN battleship named the USS Oklahoma that was sunk at Pearl Harbor during the Japanese attack there on 07 December 1941 (start of WW2 for the US). The sunken warship was raised after the war, sold for metal re-cycling (scrapped) and was being towed by a tug-boat to California when it sunk at sea. The battleship Oklahoma currently rests on the bottom of the Pacific Ocean between California and Hawaii.
