Most part of African and Portuguese, actually Brazil has the largest black population out side of Africa. more than the united states. there is no such thing as people in America. What does a migrant farm worker from Mexico or an afro samba dancer from Brazil have anything to do with Augustus Caesar of imperial rome? it's like the confusion of an American Indian & one from India.

Before the Portuguese get in Brazil, bringing African slaves to work in sugar-cane crops, there were tribes of Indians. So beside Portuguese and African, some Brazilians may also have Indians ancestrals.

But also many Italians and Germans, have migrated to the south region of Brazil, where the climate is less hot, about XIX century, looking for and oportunity to rebuild their lifes, in small properties offered from the government for those who wanted to use these lans for cultivation.

A massive number of Japanese migrated to São Paulo, also between the XIX and the XX centuries, especially for work in the grown factories.

That's why Brazil is the mixest ethnic and cultural society in the world.
