Not real sure on this one, but multiculturalism was the acceptance of the rights and freedoms of migrant group who relocated after WWII into other countries to escape destruction and persecution such as the Jews to Israel, Germans relocating to Canada and US, and giving back the personal rights of Japanese who had been interned during the war. It would have allowed them to vote and own property among others.
