The war didn't really end. in 1954 the Soviet officials and representative that fought in the Korean War met in Switzerland but failed to draw up a stable peace plan and unable to settle the unification of Korea but agreed to work towatd the agreement of a stable peace treaty. So the North and South Korean was not happy, but the a peace treaty was signed by US and China but without the paeticipation of the two Kprea. so basicaly the war did not end. So plitically and militarily the war was inconclusive, the two side still watched each other over the demilitarized zone waiting for the day when the fight might begain again.
