The biggest affect of World War II on China was that the main governemnt of China, the Kuomingtang (KMT) lost a lot of resources due to the fight against the Japanese (major) and Communists (minor). Hyperinflation, corruption, lack of morale from WW2 caused the Chinese Civil War to favor the Communists. The KMT government eventually lost the mainland and fled to Taiwan.

Their economy suffered greatly and also their population suffered because of the men sacrificing their lives in suprise attacks.
