The Aryans are an Indian indigenous group that began to separate from the ancestral South Indian population around 40,000 BCE. They moved north. They never invaded India, but large numbers of them did invade Persia, Bactria, Minoa and mainland Europe in very ancient times.

Answer

The aryans never invaded India, its a myth created by the british during its occupation of India. both Indians and iranians were commonly known as aryans; the word "aryan" itself has nothing to do with a "race" but were given to those who were "noble", in the Indian context it meant those well versed in the vedic texts. Its a pity that that baseless theory of aryan invasion is still accepted as a "truth". Max mueller, a linguistic "expert" who was one of the first to have put forward that theory, retracted in his later years, but strangely enough, his later quotes are not often cited.
