Gandhi's plan to get rid of the English was nonviolence, truth, and tolerance. In South Africa, Gandhi was kicked off a 1st class train seat because he was a different race. Then he did a protest and was hurt while burning legal documents that Indians had to have while in South Africa. He also did a 250 mile walk protesting against the salt act and then he picked up salt from the sea illegally and said this is all it is. He got arrested in both cases. After a while, all of India was doing all he did. He fasted 21 days and so did India. He made a national day of prayer and so did India. In the end, the English were forced to leave India because no one wanted them there.
