The true location of the start of the computer revolution is debatable, although many argue that it started in either Seattle, WA or Silicon Valley, CA. In 1975, Microsoft was founded by Bill Gates in the Greater Seattle area. The one problem with this being the start of the computer revolution is that Microsoft at the time did almost nothing with hardware, which makes the second said location, Silicon Valley, CA, a more likely candidate. It was here the the illustrious Apple was founded by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak in 1976. Other companies that were founded later in this area include Google and Yahoo.
