The name "Jackson" comes from Anglo-Saxon (English), but my further research into the name shows it originated in Scandinavia in the form of Jakksonn like quite a lot of other Scandinavian names. Particurlarly Norway and Denmark but more Norway as they invaded and settled in the British Isles many times. Short answer it's from England. Long answer it's from Norway.
