I just completed refitting crane no. 1 with new DC VSD's. Next year, money permitting, crane #2 may be refitted in the same manner. I know its the one because I saw the log book while I was there. We used the 1961 Navy Manual and drawings to adapt the new drives

In which state was the first atomic bomb tested?

The Manhattan Project was the codename for a project conducted during World War II to develop the first atomic bomb. A nuclear weapon is an explosive device that derives its destructive force from nuclear reactions, either fission or a combination of fission and fusion. Project research took place at over thirty sites across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The three primary research and production sites of the project were the plutonium-production facility at what is now the Hanford Site, the uranium-enrichment facilities at Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and the weapons research and design laboratory now known as Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Where were nuclear weapons built?

In the U.S. they were originally built at Los Alamos, NM. When the production rates became too high for Los Alamos (and when the Livermore, CA lab began making successful designs) a plant was built at Rocky Flats, CO to build them. It is shut down now because of too much Plutonium contamination and lack of need for new weapons. I think the PanTex plant in TX now handles all weapon refurbishing.
