The Spanish king driven from the throne by Napoleon Bonaparte was Ferdinand VII. He was captured during the Peninsular War and later returned to Spain in 1814. Ferdinand attempted to reassert control over Spain's Latin American colonies, but his efforts were largely unsuccessful due to the growing independence movements in the region.
On March 31st 1814 Paris was conquered, and op April 6th Napoleon was made to renunciate the throne.
