Dimitri Tsafendas, a deranged government worker who lived in fear of his life of a 'giant tapeworm' in his stomach.

Tsafendas was legally a white man but his dark complexion meant he had been isolated from white South African society. He left South Africa at the age of 18, when he first complained about hearing the tapeworm, and travelled the world for 25 years. He became fluent in 8 languages, but at nearly every country he visited, he was either deported or escaped from psychiatric treatment. He returned to South Africa as an illegal immigrant but that didn't stop him getting the job as a messanger boy at the House of Assembly in Cape Town. He admitted that he had killed Verwoerd because he hated his racial policies, and he had been trying to get reclassified as being 'black'.
