Harald Hardrada was a good fighter from Norway. He thought he had right to the English throne when Edward died so he went to battle with harold godwinson and supposably was killed then (battle at Stamford Bridge), but it is also thought he could have run away in fear.

Harald Hardrada was King of Norway, a fierce and unforgiving giant of a man who believed he had a claim on the English throne through some old promise between King Harthecanute of England and King Magnus of Norway. A fierce and powerful military leader, he ruled Norway with an iron hand.

He was killed in battle when he invaded England in support of Tostig Godwinson, who was attempting to unseat Harold Godwinson as King of England. He was buried on English soil under 7 feet of earth, as promised by King Harold before the battle began.
