In 1938 Albert Einstein wrote a letter to President Roosevelt outlining what it would take to produce an Atomic Bomb. He also said the German Scientists under Hitler were also working on the Bomb. This is the beginning of the MANHATTAN PROJECT the TOP SECRET race to build the Atomic Bomb.
In Nazi Germany SS Reichsfurher Heinrich Himmler was put in charge of the Nazi Nuclear Bomb program. Through Lies and deception he kept the British MI6 very confused throughout the war. In January 1943 the Junkers factory produced a long range Junkers JU-390 Recon aircraft. This was to take pictures of Michigan and New York and prove that a manned aircraft could bomb New York. This was also a message Hitler was sending Roosevelt to not even think about using the Atomic Bomb on Berlin. On August 27th this long range JU-390 took off from Norway. It conducted air to air refueling over Iceland at 8,000 feet with a JU-290 Tanker aircraft! It then proceded into Canadian Air Space. On the dawn of August 28th it was over Michigan taking pictures of Factories. On noon of Aug. 28th the JU-390 flew over the Empire State Building at 8,000 feet taking vital pictures of New York! Hans Joachim Pancherz and Anna Kreisling were the pilot and Co-pilot of this historic Luftwaffe flight. 14 hours later Anna Kreisling would bring the huge six engined aircraft into land at a base outside of Paris.
Fear that Nazi Germany would make one first and win WW2 using it. It was not until after the end of the war that it was discovered that the German nuclear program was only a very low priority program directed mostly at reactor development.
To defend against a possible Nazi atomic bomb!
No, Nazi Germany had no nuclear weapons.
yes plenty of times
Atomic Bomb or Nuclear Bomb derives its destructive forces from nuclear reactions or fusion... there are 2 nuclear weapons have been detonated- both by the U.S. during the closing days of World War II, The first was detonated on the morning of AUG.6, 1945 on the Japanese City of Hiroshima, and the second was detonated 3 days later at the City of Nagasaki. These bombings results in the immediate deaths of around 120,000 people injured from the explosion and acute radiation sickness.
It was a nuclear bomb by the Nazi scientists.
The first was made in the US. The purpose was originally to defend against the possibility of a Nazi bomb. 1945.
The American and British government and military leaders never planned for using the first atomic bomb on Nazi Germany, but they did worry that Germany might have an advanced nuclear program, which they did. By the time Germany surrendered in May 1945, the American atomic bomb program still hadn't produced the first bomb.

the Nazi didn't build the atomic bomb the Americans did....
The atomic bomb project began during World War II, driven by fears that Nazi Germany was developing nuclear weapons. In 1938, the discovery of nuclear fission by German scientists prompted concerns about the possibility of a powerful bomb. This led to the U.S. government initiating the Manhattan Project in 1942, a secret program to research and develop atomic weapons. The project culminated in the successful detonation of the first atomic bomb in July 1945 in New Mexico, followed by its use against Japan in August 1945.
President Obama is concerned that the American Public would be alarmed at how the Nazi Nuclear Bomb Program was brought to the USA in 1945 under Operation Paperclip. Over 55,000 Nazi Scientists, Soldiers, aircraft, and Secret SS Weapons Projects were brought to America. One Junkers JU-390 was brought to Wright Patterson AFB with the Nazi Bell project. This was later transferred to AREA 51, where today it belongs to Anna Kreisling, THE WHITE WOLF OF THE LUFTWAFFE and perhaps along with Werner Von Braun and Heisenberg some of the most important people in the Nazi Nuclear Bomb Program. This is all TOP SECRET and this is why Obama is trying to ban information about AREA 51.
Einstein and Szilard's letter to President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1939 warned about the possibility of Nazi Germany developing nuclear weapons and the need for the United States to start its own nuclear research program. This letter ultimately led to the creation of the Manhattan Project, which resulted in the development of the atomic bomb.
The purpose of the letter from Albert Einstein to FDR was to alert the president about the potential development of atomic weapons by Nazi Germany and to urge the United States to start its own nuclear research program. Einstein stressed the importance of nuclear technology for national security and encouraged the U.S. to take the lead in nuclear research.
To defend against a possible Nazi atomic bomb!
His largest contribution was a single signature on a letter Leo Szilard wrote that was sent to FDR to convince him of the possible danger of Nazi Germany developing nuclear fission bombs and the need to begin our own such project to defend against the risk.
