There are no single answer for Indian Freedom. The real reason for freedom as per British Historians is: Netaji Subash Chandra Bose. When INA(Indian National Army) regiments that fought along side with Japanese were captured in Burma and brought to India for trial, there was a coup in British Indian Navy which was the backbone of British rule in India. Where some of the British officers were killed. Also, there was a tense atmosphere in India during the trial of INA members. Infact none of the INA members were hanged except they were sentenced to a maximum of life Imprisonment owing to the sensitivity of the situation.
