He will be trying for a world record but his main mission is raising funds for cancer research and to support those that have battled cancer, who have lost someone to cancer, or who are currently battling the disease as well as battling anything in life. He states it will take him approximately 6 month to accomplish this. He lost his father in 1991 to cancer so that is the motivation that drives Ben and he has already swam across the Atlantic Ocean in 1998, from Cape Cod, USA to France.
