No, he didn't want to become famous. He knew that Hitler was going to attack anyway. He just wanted more territory and more time to prepare for war. Signing that pack with Hitler bought him more time. (genius, right?)

∙ 11y agoStalin simpy signed the agreement with Germany because it was a better choice than Britain and France... They had much more too offer such as; The Soviet Union gaining control of Belarus and the Baltic States and they also had been promised no aggression towards them
